Produced from the oldest vineyard in Anjou, this sweet wine owes its name to the marvellously well-situated hillsides along the Layon...

Winemaking

Very selective manual harvest, 3 to 4 successive selections, 10 months in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. 

 

 

 

Grape varieties

100% chenin 

Tasting

Golden colour with a light amber tint, deep and complex nose of candied bergamot, exotic fruits, pineapple and honey, mellow and concentrated attack with a fresh finish, very long. 

 

Aging: 3 to 18 years.

 

Serving temperature: 7-9°C.

This Coteaux du Layon can be served as an aperitif or during a meal and will go perfectly with : 

  • Gastronomy

  • Foie gras escalope with mangoes

  • Duck breast with pineapple
